About

Honest TEFL is written by an English teacher who has spent many years teaching in Asia, in good schools and bad ones. We explain the things TEFL course sellers and recruiters often leave out: what a certificate is really worth, what a legal job looks like, and how to protect yourself before you pay or fly.

We are not a recruiter or a placement agency, we do not sell TEFL courses, and we do not issue visas or certificates. Nobody pays us to recommend a course or a school.

Honest TEFL is a project of Inkubator 2025, a small business in Ontario, Canada.
